Nearly clear dull orange with a firm white head. Clear enough to see the other side of the glass, Has a gem like quality to the look of it. Tart and spicy with noticable citrus. Smells like a Saison. Sour, slightly astringent, puckering and dry. Finishes bitter. Quite bold in flavor but still balaced nicely.

Poured a light, cloudy orange with ample head. The aroma was full of citrus, coriander, and some yeast funkiness. The taste was pretty interesting, in that it was dominated by citrus and pepper; quite the combination. It finished pretty dry and citrusy. I shared this with some friends and we weren’t really sure what to think. It’s certainly quite different than any beer I had previously tasted and I enjoyed it for what it was.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a very thin light white head. Some acidic tannins mixed with light citrus show up in the nose in true JP form. Taste is somewhat spicy and sour mixed together. I get some sweet malts, lemons, and yeast blended together to form the main character of this brew. Ive been wanting to try this one for a long time and it didnt disappoint. i liked it.

Bottle. I’ve had gushers before, including a few memorable ones in Belgium, but this takes the cake. And with the big bottles, there’s a lot to gush. Pale amber/copper body with, naturally, a huge, sticky, lacing, off-white head. Rather spicy nose, lots of coriander and orange peels. Yeast with some light fruitiness. Taste is very dry, lightly woody, with yeast and faint bg fruitiness. Finish and aftertaste are very dry and spicy with light caramel and medium bitterness. Medium body with light-medium citric sourness and accents from the (relatively low) alcohol. I tend to like dry, sour, spicy beers quite a bit, and this one is very easy to drink in quantity. On the whole, good, and slightly interesting, but not worth the considerable trouble.

Light orange color with big white head. Funky citrus and yeast aroma. Taste is pungent up front and mellows out to a smooth, slightly bitter swallow. The power of the aromas and tastes at first are a little offsetting but interesting for a beer.

(big thanks to bbb63 for the hookup on this.)cloudy orange with a thick off-white head.the head sits around for many moments after the pour.as it sits it leaves thick webbing on the glass.the aroma mixes up citrus, funk, coriander, and caramel malts.flavor is a mix of the aroma.plus some seltzer water, salt, and maybe a bit of pear.not as fizzy and light in the palate as the reserve.pretty nice stuff.

Grapefruit, orange peel, noble hops and more citrus fruits in the aroma. The body is a golden brown color toped by a fluffy white head. Lightly sweet bread like malts are accompanied by corriander and black peppercorns. Soft mouthfeel. Nice stuff.
