Nice gold-yellow pour with white head. Aroma of yeast, fruit, and spice. Flavor is like the aroma, but with some sourness and a dry aftertaste and mouthfeel.

Bottle from beermerchants. HAzy gold/amber. Rocky, collapsing head. Vinous. A spur, oxidized edge, probably due to the barrel aging. Soapy coriander and other spices. Pleasant, but challenging beer

batch 130/131 shared by psprings... orange golden/brownish color with a spongy dense white head. mild jp stink mixes with bready yeast, earthy coriander, peppery spice, tart fruit similar to raisins and a distinct cheesy lactose smell. the flavor is very similar... add in a slightly tart, almost sour dry finish and it works. medium body with foamy carbonation that, when swirled out, makes it seem a bit flat and watery. dryness keeps me drinking it...7/4/7/3/16/3.7

Bottle. Golden brown with a dense foam. Aromas are citrus and yeast with spices. Some light woodiness. Quite Duvel-like. Flavours are bitter lemon with lots of yeast. Dry and hoppy on the finish. Crisp and clean.

This one didn’t have some of the odd funkyness some other JPs have had. Arom of bread, yeast, spice, and some citrus fruit. Taste is belgian spices, earthyness and some fruit.

Thanks to northernbrews for sharing this vintage JP beer. Pours nice gold/yellow with a good white head. Aroma is citrusy zest with some tart yeast and spice. Flavor is tart lemon with a bit of sweetness on the finish. Dry and refreshing.

Sampled at hellbilly’s hellraiser 3 gathering. Yet another bottle courtesy of psprings! Pours a golden orange color with a big foamy head. Flavor and aroma of apples, yeast, wood, spice and a touch of funk. A bit sour and very dry. Nice. Thanks Paul!
