| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 1, 2009 (Bottle, batch 130/131, oak aged for 21 months, purchased at Ölbutikken, Copenhagen) Hazy amber colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Acidic, sour and tart nose with notes of oak wood, vinegar, dried peaches and hints of citrussy hops coming through after a while. Sour, fruity, acidic taste with citrus (grapefruit, lemon), orange peel, balsamic vinegar, oak wood, spicy coriander hints and citrussy hops coming through in the finish. Dominated by oak wood and acidity leading into Rodenbach territory, but with citrus and hops balancing it quite nicely. Rather extreme and complex beer with surprisingly good balance. Lovely stuff! | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2009 It is hazy, red amber with a small, creamy head. The aroma is sour and fruity with notes of oak and spice. The flavour has a light sweetness, sourness, notes of malt, fruit, oak, caramel, light spice, yeast and the finish is slightly bitter and dry. Even if this nor normally is my kind of beer, this one is refreshing and OK. hirigalzkar (601), Stockholm, Sweden
