| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2007 a bit of roastiness with a strange sour cheese taste. With my eyes close I would never guess that this one was a stout. Very dry finish,. Interesting beer.
This one came off sort of like an experiment that turned out interesting but not super successful. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 19, 2007 Bottle from either Sean or Craig. Took one to the Carolina tasting. Pours out a brownish almost black color with a thick head on it. Smell is sweet and somewhat sour, almost like the smell of a milk stout. The taste is smooth and rich and it does have a sour quality. Not many hops, but the sourness is offset some by the sweet roasted character that comes through as the beer warms up a little more. Quality stuff, but I can see how people would be turned off of this beer. JohnC (2286), Mission Viejo, California, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 18, 2007 I bought this bottle at Hi Time Cellars.
It pours dark brown/black with a fluffy white head. The flavor is tart, almost like a sour vinuous (maybe sour lactic?) and I really didn’t enjoy it. I was expecting a lot better. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 18, 2007 Bottle at Carolina Crew get-togther. Thanks Ross, I think. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is interesting--definite brett, some fresh cocoa, roasted malt. I like the funk, but not so much in my stouts. A nice idea and offering from JP, but not really my bag, baby.
