BeerFanDan17 (365), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA May 18, 2008 One of the best stouts I’ve had. Flavors were roasted and slightly smokey including chocolate, coffee, and even caramel. Smooth and dark. Very tasty!
Hophead22 (146), Redlands, California, USA Aug 21, 2008 750ml. bottle. Poured extremely dark, very dark tan head as well. Smell a little hops in the nose, dark malts of course. Bitter taste, lingers for awhile, not too bitter though. Kind of thin. minch25 (171), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 16, 2008 Very dark, opaque, huge two-toned mocha head. Signature JP funkiness. For a stout, quite dry, slightly roasty, a little sweet of licorice. Sweet label art (and cool name), but this isn’t really what I go for in a stout or sour ale. Doesn’t work for me. JulienHuxley (4), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada does not count Aug 8, 2008 This beer has a nice nose full of strong roasted aroma that vanishes at the first sip where overwhellming white wine-like acidity comes in with a hint of apple. It has a nice colour and quickly disapearing head. Very confusing but fun to drink. mtoast (283), City of Rust, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 1, 2008 My feeble mind and palate are far to simplistic to understand this glass of liquid confusion. A bone dry "foreign stout"? My whole world has been turned upside down face. Eructoblaster (1253), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 27, 2008 Bottle - 750ml. Pours an opaque black body with low carbonation and a thick beige pillowy head. Strong malty/hoppy aroma with roasty, fruity, and black chocolate hints. Sharp hoppy taste that ends with a long bitter/sour finish.
