Nov 22, 2006 Another of their beers that just blew me away. The high carbonation brings out so much flavor, the spices, the orange peel, the light fruitiness. Nice sour finish that brings the refreshing factor up a kick. Just all around amazing flavor blend with a lightly sour finish.

Nov 8, 2006 750 ml bottle. Spicey and sour fermented aroma. Caramel body with tan fizzy head. Sour fruit aroma at first. More of a spicey bite in the middle and finsh. Sipping beer is right hard to gulp down something with a sour dominance and spicey bite on palate. Found some coffee grounds on the bottom of glass.

Nov 5, 2006 Cloudy brown caramel with very little head.
Aroma is yeast and sweet over ripe fruits as is the flavor.
Not bad.

Oct 16, 2006 (bottle - 750 ml) Murky brown color with a thick and puffy tan head that lasts and leaves good lacing. Aroma is very sweet and spicy with hints of cinnamon, chocolate, grass, and some orange zest. Flavor begins with a lot of fruity sweetness followed by a nice and subtle cocoa middle and a rather spicy finish. Aftertaste leaves a nice hint of chocolate mixed with orange peel and clove. Smooth and a little fizzy.

Oct 12, 2006 Aroma: cocoa, cinnamon, plummy fruits, pommegranite, hay, licorice. Flavor: very fruity, green grape, plum, lemon, less spices than aroma, but very balanced, complex. Oak, vanilla. God I love JP.

Oct 9, 2006 its th color of ice tea made from powder fzzy beige head. smells like over ripe fruit banana peels and chocolate and vinegar. taste spicy hints of citrus oil and dark chocolate finish smells better than it tastes though.

Aug 8, 2006 Bottle from Jim (walleye), Thanks! So I needed something to help follow up the awesome lambic I just drank, so I chose this one. A new Jolly Pumpkin does not last long around my house, and this one actually lasted almost a month. A new record. Pours out a brown color with a thick head. Smell is sweet, spicy, cinnamon, and oranges. Taste is similar, rich and creamy, fruity, spicy, went really good with the sword fish I ate. Slightly oaky and sour finish, a pretty good offering, but I was still blown away by Girardin. For what it is, this is a great beer!

Aug 1, 2006 Bottle. Another very tasty beverage from JP. This pours a somewhat muddy, medium brown. Fair bit of head. Aroma is sweet, malty and a little spiciness. Flavor is surprising reminisent of a Flemmish sour. Not in a bad way, yet unexpected. There is a trace amount of chocolate flavor, with some spices and citrus. Very good beer. Highly recommended
