caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Nov 2, 2009 Bottled. Hazy dark orangebrownish color, short head. Aroma of some malt, slight hop, quite fruity, bit spicy. Fruity taste, spicy. Nice stuff. Bullit (1300), Glasgow, Scotland Nov 2, 2009 Bottle @ lloneo, thx skortila. Hazy orange colour, off-white head. Nose of sour fruits and yeast. Flavour has sour fruits, hops and yeast. Sour finish. skortila (2879), Bunnik, Netherlands Oct 29, 2009 Bottle from Olbutikken. The aroma has red berries, citrus, yeast, spice and wood. Hazy, dark red coloured beer with an off-white, medium, lasting head. The taste is a little sour, vinous, with the red berries, yeast and wood again. Very smooth, complex and well balanced. An absolutely fantastic brew! Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Oct 25, 2009 22 oz’er. Dark, dark red with the signature massive head of Jolly Pumpkin. The aroma is awesome -- rich with ripe fruit. Drinks with a distinct sour aspect, not quite Flemish necessarily, but still enough to make you pucker ... kind of a nice compromise between a true sour and a spiced Belgian. Quite enjoyable. (#3717, 10/25/2009) DeadGirl (192), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Oct 23, 2009 Poured a hazy dark amber from the 750ml. bottle into a pint glass (batch 342): The aroma is straight Christmas, and enticing. Flavors of spices such as cinnamon (lots of), cardamom and coriander. Sour oak and funky, ripened citrus tart kicks in and through into the finish. I honestly bought this bottle for the kick ass label. Drinkability: Sour and sweet. Rebuy: Maybs. #155 on 23102009, DG. Blaze312 (129), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Oct 21, 2009 Bomber. Pours a brown color with a good head. A funky aroma and taste that I have come to find all the JP beers posses. Spicy and fruity with those oak barrels shinning through. daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Oct 11, 2009 Dark brown pour, bit head. Tart and funky aroma. Vinegar, earth, wood, funk and fruit. Flavor is sour but not overly. Lots of fruit and wood with some lively carbonation. checkmatei1 (629), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 7, 2009 Bottle: Poured a brown color with a nice amount of head. The aroma was oak, sour, spice, and dark fruits. The flavor was dark fruits, spice, and the signature sour oak from JP. Overall, another quality brew from Jolly Pumpkin.
