Minimal oak influence...with the majority of flavors reminiscent of the typical sour (lemon rind, barnyard funk, and a huge Brett focus). A bit thin compared to others in the style. Tasty but not exceptional. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

The beer poured a thick cloudy brown color with very thick lasting head and light lace. The flavor was fruity, allspice, light clove, nutmeg, and plums. The mouthfeel was medium to full bodied with a lot of carbonation. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2008 ughh...im tired of JP"s beers...deep chesnut body/brownish red with minimal head..aroma is, as usual, much more pronounced and enjoyable that the flavor..very flemish-like, with hints of vinegar, raspberry, sour funk and must...oaky flavor with unpleasant hints of wet socks..like you are harboring a damp basement in your mouth...somewhat offensive..stone, slate, chalk...who wants that? I am starting to wonder why this brewery is so well-regarded... madsberg (4971), Søborg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2008 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of FlacoAlto. Clear amber golden with a dense and lively lacing beige head. Tart Brettish aroma. Medium body, a little low in carbonation. Fruit and woody accents but also an astringet phenolic finish, that isn’t overly pleasant. 190608
