Flaske.

Bottle at Eulogy, Philadelphia, in the company of Loz, Casey and Traci on my fortieth birthday, 16-11-08. This was one of Casey’s beers and what a great choice. I really wish that Jolly Pumpkin would do there bottles in smaller sizes so I could have filled me suitcase with a great stash as this is another great beer from them. Pours hazy golden with large white bubbly head, dusty brett nose nice pulsing lemons come through, really quite dry. I like this. Ooohh Casey what is that beer that chap has just been writing on the blackboard over there behind you, quick pour, glug, glug chuckle. A9 A3 F8 P4 OV17 4.1

had a few times, now for the brass ..pours with a damn fine lacing aspect .. sweet and tangy aromas eminate from my glass ... medium yellow liquid .. some lemon zest emeriling around in the nose too .. medium dryness, more lemon zest..like BAM! with a side of light honey... ridiculously drinkable, big sour bite, ultimately refreshing like putting on frozen solid underwear on a 100 degree day...

Batch 275. It ppurs a hazy straw blonde. VERY effervescent. Gushingly so. A thick, rocky, Duvel like foam. The aroma is sour, barn funk, spicey with a Granny Smith apple note. Flavor is musty, sour...same characteristics as aroma. Somewhat Boon Gueze-ish. Medium body that finishes moderately dry. Very refreshing.

Batch #257. Pours hazy straw color with big white head. Funky JP aroma. Tart with a touch of sweetness. Peppery with some doughy Belgian yeast flavor and hop bitterness. Medium body with lively carbonation that tingles on the tongue. Very good.

Straw colored brew with a stark white meringue head. Yeasty, funky, sour nose...with added pepper and spice, even grassy flavor. Highly drinkable...pretty solid beer.

A Belgian Ale brewed in Michigan. I had mine in a bottle at a bar in Brooklyn. Expensive. Pours an orangeish tan. Big head. Song yeasty aroma. Not particularly sour, so it had a breadish taste with hints of banana.

750 into pint glass. Really pale yellow with big white head that lasts a while. Smells deliciously balanced and refreshing with light hints of pale cereal malt and some fresh earthy hops (no alcohol). The taste is unique with a neutral warming alcohol flavor upfront that fades into some nice fruity (sweet citrus, plum, white grapes, etc) and oaky notes. Light bodied on the palate but with an unexpected and impressive texture and mouth feel. Very minimal delicate carbonation. Overall: good, unique, refreshing, though not as tart as I was hoping.
