Bottle foamed over. Nice tight bubbled head over a golden yellow clear pour. Nice aroma of yeast and grass with some sharper lactic notes. Flavor was exceptionally crisp. Citrus, grass, dry hay flavors predominate with a nice hop and lactic finish. Sour and hoppy, but not overpowering. This ale gets points for an excellent balance. It’s not my favorite style, but I found this refreshing, clean and crisp. It would be great fora hot summer evening.

Bottle. 10 cl. sample. Pours a golden yellow with a white head. Tart yeast aroma with spicy notes and notes of burnt fireworks. The latter disappears quickly however. Sour/tart yeast flavour with hops and slight spicy notes. Dry, bitter, sourish finish – a bit wine-like. Too much carbonation. 28-10-08.

Pours a light gold, with a fluffy head. Aroma is soapy, with champagne, some light fruit, sourness, and hops. Along with a crisp palate, the flavors present are certainly an interesting take on a “Belgian Ale”. There is tartness, green apple, and pear. Not much malt in the profile. Really interesting, in a good way. My friend remarked that this tasted like Martinelli’s sparkling cider. Certainly not a bad offering, but because I can’t fit this into any satisfying category of beer drinkership (i.e. Barley Wines for cold nights, Pale Ales for summer, IPAs for greasy foods, etc), I must knock it a point or two.

Aroma: Sweet to sour yeast, peach, and orange. Very pleasant. Pours an almost clear yellow color, patchy head. Full body with a sweet flavor, fallowed by sour peaches and apricots. It’s not complex like most JP beers but very tasty. Palate is full and flavorful. Very enjoyable.

I kick myself after reading the last few ratings, I opened the bottle and thought all went well and as I threw the cap out I looked over and there the bottle was foaming all over the counter. 750 bottle poured into a tulip glass has a golden wheat color and a fluffy white head that retained a thin surface coating. aroma has funky brett yeast, acid, white grapes, underlying citrus hops, and some sour fruit. mellow but plenty interesting. mouth feel is light with minimal carbonation. flavor has some nice funked barnyard, wild yeast, acidic but not heavily, and hops do sneak up with citrus. floral qualities pickup as it completely warmed, and fruit popped in and out adding depth. finish is drying but not bone dry with some lingering acidic tartness. barrel aging brings light oak that softens the tartness, and the sweetness keeps this from getting real dry. very nice combination that is balanced almost so much that it has kept the sharpness down.

I really enjoyed this one as compared to La Roja. Not nearly as sour/tart either, niice. Still a tart presence, brett? Spicy, lingering finish with bitter notes. Fruity.

(Bottle) Pours hazy yellow orange to golden with a big white head. The aroma is subtle and elegant with a good deal of green, spicy and herbal low alpha hops, fresh oak, doughy/nutty yeast, juicy lemon/orange-like citrus and moldy basement/barnyard-like brett-yeast. Buttery and fruity, tart apricot tones play in the background. The nose holds some light sweet notes of honey, caramel and white bread. Otherwise, it is quite dry with a white wine/vinous touch. Bit dusty. A whisper of bubblegum, coriander, band-aid and clove is also notable. The flavour is light to medium sweet and light bitter at first, but the finish more dry and brett-ish. Tones of juicy oranges, mild spices, fresh oak wood, grassy/herbal hops and barnyard/horse blanket alongside light sticky maltiness. The mouthfeel is soft and creamy with a rather solid maltiness. The aftertaste is mild citric and tart-ish dry with dry woody and dusty hints. Medium bodied.

750ml bottle. batch 275. from ølbutikken. bottle started leaking while i was unpacking the rucksack. i noticed when the rucksack begun saying PFFFFFFZZZZT. Cap was still on, but beer was coming out of it nevertheless. Agressive bottle. when i opened it after it has been standing for an hour lots of white head came out and continiued to come out for a minute or so. appears clear yellow with a small (err.) white head. aroma is floral, spices, sweetness. nice, but a bit perfumy. flavor is strong from the alc, piney and sweet. brett, quite dry in the taste. actually tastes a bit like real dry white wine.
