Lots of fruit in this - apples dominate but there are some peachy notes as well. Moderate clove spice and big yeasty character. Almost a light mint essence as well. Slight floral hop component at the finish. Well designed drink. jstraw (766), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 23, 2008 Updated: Jun 18, 2009Batch 364. Cloudy gold with good, foamy white head / Muted orchard & tropical fruit citrus and brett nose / Medium body, lush and fruity, with fine, elegant carbonation and lingering, dry and slightly bitter finish / Relatively bold flavors (for JP) of pineapple, green apples, oranges, bananas, oak, chrysanthemum, coriander, black pepper, and a dose of funky brett / More fruit and less acidic than typical JP’s. By my notes not as good as the previous batch (but still outstanding). rustychiles (1055), Mesa, Arizona, USA
