A truly fantastic looking beer in the glass with the milky white beer on top of a golden swirl of murky deliciousness. Lemon undertones in the aroma that came through in spades on the tongue washing down in a pleasantly refreshing way. Although this beer was a little bit pricey ($7+ for the litre), it is a wicked summer session beer that would NO DOUBT be awesome off the tap. The only downfall keeping it out of the 4 range was that it was a little bit simple, or one dimensional. I had just finished exercising before I poured this baby, and WOW it hit me like a sledghammer completely satifying all needs. Cheers

Bottle shared at Shenandoah Beer Throwdown, thanks whomever brought it. Pours cloudy, pale yellow, with a fizzy champagne-like head. Aroma is semi-yeasty, pepper. Flavor is sour with a touch of apple and spice.

A wonderful combination of three flavors: Upfront is sour. Middle has an oak flavor. Last and after-taste is bitter hops. Cloudy golden color. Huge head. Aroma is mostly sour.

Clean clear golden pour with white fluffy head and lace. Aroma of corn and pepper. A flavor of light clove and pepper as well. An slight sour. Carbonation and mouthfeel are excellent. Very drinkable beer.

750 ml bottle. Pours a pale golden color with a lasting large white head. Aroma is pretty funky with citrus. Flavors are lemon, other citric flavors, and some funk that settles nicely and doesn’t linger much.

750 ml bottle. Opened in a burst followed by an immediate geyser that left my counter a sticky mess. 1/2 of the bottle was remaining. What was left poured a slight cloudy gold in color with a medium fizzy head. Aroma of citrus, bready yeast, and some slight spice. Tastes of lemon citrus with a mild acidity, funk, earthy, and a mild spicy finish. Nice amount of sour. I enjoyed this.

NEPA case split club strikes again! The sourness is here but not dominant as it nicely aligns itself to the peppery spicy acidic wheaty citrus plant that I’m currently drinking. The mustard leather envelope is here and it surrounds the tanginess quitde well even though it seems a bit strong on the carbonation side and medium to give this the dry character it will get when time takes its side.

Bottled sample (almost a year old). Hazy golden-peach in colour with very strong and spritzy carbonation. Aromas of citrus hard candies, a bit of white bread dough, ripe stone fruit, and white pepper. Flavors are of tangerine, funk, a bit of earth, and lemon. There’s a great refreshing mouthfeel created by the combination of the acidity and the strong (yet soft) carbonation. Hides its alcohol well. IT would be too easy to drink too much of this on a hot sunny day.
