Poured a murky orange with a massive white, meringue-like head. Spiced citrus, yeast, fine oak hints and some vinous tannins come through in the nose. Heavily carbonated and pleasant on the palate. Flavor follows suit, but with a bit more of the barrel coming through. Good stuff bebop329 (27), USA

Suprisingly refreshing first sip. Much more sour than I expected. The sour funk and sweet after taste blend nicely together. Grapes and citrus flavors stand out most. Yummy! | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Batch 229. Pours a hazy golden straw color. Fluffy white one inch head. Very nice lacing. Earthy aromas, oak, yeasty bread dough, ripe pears. Excellent carbonation on the palate. Flavorful tartness offset slightly by a nice floral hop bitterness. Lemon grass, grapefruit, turmeric. Very refreshing on a warm sunny day. Outstanding! MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Bottle, just like in the picture. Not sure how old this one is but it was quite dusty and had the appearance of age to it. Opened slowly but she gushed like crazy, then poured a slightly hazy golden with white head. Aroma is sour, slightly funky, largely citric. Flavor is tart at the start with some lemon and yeast and a good dose of what I consider funk. Sour but not just from the lemony notes present and with a belgian like hop spice. After the inital gush the palate was nice with an active and light carbonation, not too strong, just light and refreshing. Finish is short and clean with that light sourness. This was absolutely fantastic, I think I’ll buy some more of those dusty bottles. A very interesting flavor profile and one that leaves me thinking about the next sip. dkachur (2431), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Nice lacing with it. Subtle yeasty aroma. The flavor is a nice mix of yeasty and sour. A little thin on the palette, but this is quite tasty. TheBeerOrg (1589), Kentucky, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Pours bright golden with a mostly maintained off-white head. Aroma of bubble gum, coriander, chamomile, herbs, and honey. Tastes of herbal grasses, acidic/lactic, bubble gum and estery tropical fruits. Medium bodied with lush carbonation. Elegant beer, but the acids get a bit much near the end. greenhorn1 (462), Mission Viejo, California, USA
