Incredible nose! Exotic fruits and flowers (passion fruit, carambole...), oak, some spice.
Superb balance of acidity (wild yeast but not so funky), sweetness not too prohiment (fruits) and a perfect dry finish (oak??). No signs of alcohol, extremely refreshing and satsifying. One of my Jolly Pumpkin favorites!

Jan 4, 2008 Poured gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of fruit and spice. Solid fruity flavor with some spice in the finish. Some hop hints also present. Seems like a simple belgian but still drinkable at 8%.

Jan 3, 2008 Bottle. What is it with Jolly Pumpkin. All of my bottles have exploded with foam that just continues to ooze. Something’s gotta be off. The aroma is big and spicky on this one with a pepper-yeasty edge. The drink has a citrus punch bite up front, followed with a tangy, herb-laden sting. (#3267, 1/3/2008)

Jan 1, 2008 FEb. 2006 - Yellowish pale color with nice head and lacing. Aroma was barnyard funky..and really peppery as it warmed. Flavor was really sour. If someone said to me a year from now, "Remember that REALLY sour beer we had last year?", I’d remember it in a heartbeat...but yet I found it very enjoyable. I couldn’t drink it every day, but definitely worth a try...quite memorable..

Dec 31, 2007 750ml. Pours a golden orange head that stay the entire time and lacing is very good. Smells of oragne, lemon. Taste is funky with taste of citrus fruits. The head is rediculos. I poured it and it was like a valcano. Liked this beer but wouldn’t buy it again. To funky for me.

Dec 26, 2007 Bravo. Big nose of deep earthy notes and sweet oranges. Typical French Biere de Garde style ... bright golden lemon meringue body with a hard white towering head, vanishes, leaving good lace. Taste starts with sweet oranges, then funky lambic citrus sour, then big peppery bite, moderate hops, long bitter and funky finish.

Dec 23, 2007 Nice nice nice Belgian strong. Aroma of heavy funk, yeast, and fruit. Pour was a hazy gold with a huge 4 finger white head that had to be beaten away. Taset was very drinkable. A lot of orange and a hint of lemon with some spiciness and a weird bitter aftertaste. Some yeastiness was present as the beer warmed. Not too sweet as the style usually gets. Very good.

Dec 12, 2007 bottle. poured a mostly clear yellow gold with a huge white head that doesn’t go away and leaves huge lacing. good deep smell, with orange and lemon, some funk, and maybe even a little grape. more citrus hops in the flavor, with a bunch of spice, a bit more funk, and a bit of a woody note creeping in. very dry finish, with a touch of sour and a good bitter tingle. medium quenching body, with tons of carbonation. tasty, different, champagne-like. i will definitely have this again.
