Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is sour fruits and caramel malts with some vinegar and flowery hops. Flavour is wheat, alcohol, some caramel, big citrus and some yeastyness. Also very acidic thing.

pours a cloudy gold with a nice two finger fluffy white head. aroma is yeast, funk, and lemons with some hops, champagne, and sour apples. has a light to medium body with good lacing and great carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma and has a very full mouth feel from the carbonation. is a little peppery and spicy like the bottle says. reminds me of duvel with funk and like duvel if you need more head just give it a little swirl. not bad! also has a small dry hop aftertaste and some oak that sits on the tongue.

Bottle. Urine-sample yellow. Light head. Spicy, yeasty, peppery, grassy. Medium body with smooth, even finish. I usually love these guys and looked forward to a nice finishing touch to the beerfest, but feel very disappointed. Need to re-rate at some point. Sampled near the end of BCTC 2007.

Bottle: Pours a deep, cloudy golden color with a huge white head that tested my patience. Plenty of time to sample the aroma of citrus and spices, a light clove presence and some florals. Taste is bright and floral with spices and more of that citrus / orange peel sensation. Overall, this is easy to enjoy.

750ml bottle. Thankfully, this one was not as gusher, as some JP’s are. Cloudy, pale yellow-orange color. Massive rocky, frothy, pure white head that leaves behind a thick and clumpy lacing. The beer looks great. The aroma is heavy on bananas, with that signature JP funk, yeast, sour citrus, and fruity esters. The flavor is sour and yeasty. There is alot of sour citrus and ascorbic acid in the taste. The yeast is signature JP....very funky. Medium bodied beer that goes down smooth and leaves a slight tickle in the back of the throat. Nice brew, but a bit astringent for my tastes.

Bottle at chris_o shindig. Hazy straw with thin white head. Looks lively. Sour nose, fruity, slight woodiness. Quite subtle on the sourness in the mouth, with some earthy mossy mould. Some fruit, inoffensive and very drinkable.
