Bottle. Pours a deep golden color with a huge, rocky white head, fantastic lacing. Aoma is yeast, pepper, citrus. Flavor is sweet, floral, yeast, pepper. Palate is light to medium, highly carbonated, dry, tart finish. Fantastic.

In the 750 mL bottle from Beertopia. Upon opening, the beer exploded and I lost quite a bit. Vastly overcarbonated for such a pricey brew. Gargantuan white head, but not snowcap white. Beer is a honey gold cloudy yellow. beautiful. Aroma is at first a pronounced pineapple! Later, a lemony citrus scent emerges. This is delicious. Not too tart and sour, it would truly be a beer for keeping if it were not for the explosive danger of aging a beer this over carbonated. Lemon flavor with a touch of anise that has a smooth palate and a long mild finish of medicinal esters. Yummy.

Bottle from my secret santa, thanks! Pour is a hazy golden yellow. Wow, I love looking at unfiltered beers. Nose is surprisingly sour, with the yeast and fruit notes I expected. Apple and Lemon come to mind. Also very earthy and fresh. Light body with adequate balance- a lot of carbonation. JP is a great brewery.

Heavy, sweet citrus aroma. Peach colored, with a wonderful white head. Definite sweet flavor. Delicious and sweet like Jolly Pumpkin can do..

Poured deep yellow with a HUGE white head. Aroma was sour and somewhat fruity. I thought it was going to be a flemish sour after smelling this. The flavor was a huge dissapointment given the wonderful sour aroma. Very dry and weak tasting. Flavor had a bunch of herbal and grassy notes with none of the sourness hinted at in the aroma. Dry and very light. 8/4/5/2/11 Re-rate: Bottled. Poured a perfect SOLID yellow. It looked like a yellow stone in a glass with an off white head. Aroma was sour, tart, barnyard, classic JP, sweet fruits: banana, orange, and lemon. Almost like a sour juicy fruit. Body was super smooth and made it tasted like I was eating beer. Slightly sweet banana and orange sponge cake is how I might describe it. Felt like a beer malt, like a solid block with a smooth velvet bottom sliding across the tongue. A tinge of barnyard in the finish, some tartness, but only enough to let you know, "Nukka I here!"
