| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 16, 2009 750ml bottle served in a shaker glass. As I was opening it I told my friends that JP’s beers were know to be gushers. Wouldn’t you know it, this sucker exploded as soon as the cap was cracked. After it settled down it poured clear gold with a huge meringue like head. Smelled of funk, spices, oak, and slightly tart vaguely reminiscent of sweet tarts. Taste was similar but a bit more oak and funk forward. I thought it was very good though most of my drinking buddies didn’t share my enthusiasm. tarjei (1758), Bryne, Norway

The nose is sour cherries, mixed with funk and cinnamon/nutmeg. The taste follows suit with the nose, and the linger on the palette is downright delicious. The cherries really stick around on the palette which is awesome. The beer has a velvety carbonation, and appropriate for the style. I can’t think of a sour I enjoy more. This is so balanced without being over the top sour.
