A great lemony flavor with just a little tartness and oak that doesnt overpower in any area. A great summer beer. It is very much like a dry white wine; I would recommend it to wine drinkers.

750ml bottle . Pours cloudy yellow with a thin white head. The nose is lemon, aspirin and pepper. The taste is funk, lemon peel, spicy yeast and light vinegar. Lighter, prickly mouthfeel. Refreshing stuff.

750ml bottle (Batch 229) served in a tulip. This poured a hazy golden with a thin head of lasting off-white foam. Decent lacing. The aroma had sourdough, lemon and orange zest, fresh grass, and also a hint of sour berries. The flavor contained lemon pith, bread, grass, spices, and some faint fruity sweetness. It was sweet on first contact, but finished dry, along with a light lingering sourness. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had light carbonation. Refreshing and delicious. Highly drinkable.

This was a gusher to put all other gushers to shame. As soon as I popped the cap it began rising. I filled a snifter with mostly head, and still this was not enough. It continued to pour out the top, and I filled a second snifter, and this was more or less enough to absorb the excess carbonation. Pours a clear gold to copper, with overabundant white head. Well retained, coats the glass in lace. Aroma is the Jolly Pumpkin’s yeast funk with a lot of carbonic aroma, a whiff of dry champagne. Flavor is similarly yeast and CO2 dominated. More typical beer flavors are in the background. Caramel, banana, a bit of butterscotch are all present. Light floral hops at the front. Combined with the alcohol warming, the cinnamon-spice on the finish comes off a bit rubbery, not necessarily in a bad way, just in a way. Light, smooth frothy body. Too high gravity to be refreshing, but still pleasurable to either sip or gulp.

Pours golden clear with fleeting white head. Smells of sourness and oak. Tastes sour, but very nicely balanced. Oak and sweetness come through as you get into it. A very respectable beer.

Traded 75cl bottle. Hazy gold pour with a big, fluffy, offwhite head. Huge aroma of banana, spice, yeast and some sour fruit. More spice and sour funk in the flavour. Crisp, dry finish. Interesting, in a good way, take on the Belgian ale.

Bottle at Ølbaren, 27-APR-2009 Very light hazy with white head. Sour nose of apples. Lots of apples, and some hops in the mouth. Quite fresh, and a littlse creamy.
