bitbucket (1572), Kirkland, Washington, USA Apr 11, 2008 Capped 750. Pours a Clear gold with a massive and fluffy white head. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. Some funk, spice and lemon in the aroma. Lemony tartness in the taste, along with some fruit, spice and funk. Dry woody finish. One from the refreshing side of a beer style that’s all over the board.
Marsiblursi (1432), Gö te la borrrrg, Sweden Oct 11, 2008 (Bottle) Pours hazy yellow orange to golden with a big white head. The aroma is subtle and elegant with a good deal of green, spicy and herbal low alpha hops, fresh oak, doughy/nutty yeast, juicy lemon/orange-like citrus and moldy basement/barnyard-like brett-yeast. Buttery and fruity, tart apricot tones play in the background. The nose holds some light sweet notes of honey, caramel and white bread. Otherwise, it is quite dry with a white wine/vinous touch. Bit dusty. A whisper of bubblegum, coriander, band-aid and clove is also notable. The flavour is light to medium sweet and light bitter at first, but the finish more dry and brett-ish. Tones of juicy oranges, mild spices, fresh oak wood, grassy/herbal hops and barnyard/horse blanket alongside light sticky maltiness. The mouthfeel is soft and creamy with a rather solid maltiness. The aftertaste is mild citric and tart-ish dry with dry woody and dusty hints. Medium bodied.

[batch 275]
Comes pouring out really fast - and the foam just keeps on coming! Still, a wonderful pour in the glass. Slightly hazy golden with a fine, steady, whipped-cream, white head. Super lacing. Fine duration. Lovely fruity aroma, oranges, citrus, apple and lovely brett funkiness as well. Fine, high carbonation with small bubbles. Flavour is wonderfully dry, good fruitiness. Some oranges, apricot, viniousness. Wonderful spicy finish with pepper and coriander. Great and very drinkable - almost Saison-like. Svesse (1818), Hässelby, Sweden Oct 3, 2008 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 20 Sep 2008) Cloudy orange/yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, slightly sourish nose with notes of apricots and citrus. Sourish, fruity taste with apricots, citrus and a tart, dry finish. Rather spicy and very tasty. Very refreshing and nice. Rune (1812), Tromsø, Norway Oct 3, 2008 750ml bottle (batch 275) shared with larsga and reakt at Plan B, Copenhagen. Very alive and kicking when opened at the café. After a while we managed to take control of the spout. Hazy, golden body under a thin, white head. Great lacing on the glass. Fruit and pale malt to the nose. Flavoured with pumpkin and bittersweet fruits added a spicy touch, culminating in a satisfying, tart finish (15.09.2008).
