12 oz bottle. Hazy brown in color with a small head. Funky fruity peel and smokey aroma. Appley and grape flavor. Orangey notes. Finish is tart and very fruity. Medium bodied. Nice beer. Very drinkable.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy brown with a small head. Aroma is funky and toasty with tons of citric fruit peels and smoke. Taste is burnt apple and grape peels and liquor soaked oranges. Gentle carbonation adds to the flavor profile making this one of the better JP beers I’ve had. A real fermented fruit salad in a bottle.

Big props to Hopscotch for sending this gem my way. Sampled with Beerdrenched and drewseslu. Pours hazy bronze with a light tan head. The aroma has heavy spice, brett, oaky toasted malt that is balanced off with a huge amount of funk. Medium body with lots of carbonation that accentuates the flavor. The taste starts off with gentle citrus, spices and brett. Then some sharper citrus and barnyard funk come into the picture. The finish has crisp spice and fruit. This was light, flavorful, bold and totally enjoyable. Thumbs way up for yet another JP fantastic brew.

Hazy rufous. Sticky off-white head possesses the consistency of spackle. Nutty and strawlike aromatic malts are joined by notes of iron, prunes, dried strawberries, candied pecans, minerals and a hint of bandage. Delightfully musty. Dense natural carbonation caresses the palate. Well-rounded, flavorwise, but significantly lacking depth early on. Mild tannins and a splash of unripe strawberry fruitiness delay what blooms into a bouncy yet muted strawlike malt spine. Crunchy phenols and woody balsamic characteristics tease the palate, but are secondary to the juicy esters and subdued malt sweetness. Coarse iron accentuates the musty-chalky dryness, as scratchy minerals wipe away much of the deeper-buried sweetness. Spritzy rhubarb and perfumey whispers of Brett quench the palate, but the flavors are curiously short-lived. Fruitiness is extremely soft, and teeters in the edge of flabbiness. Finishes remarkably balanced and soft, but overly muted. This is really a well-made beer, and Ron chose two great beers to blend. Suffers, though, from seeming confused, as no defining traits particularly stand out. I’d like to see this heavily dosed with more critters and perhaps with a bit more oak influence. Thanks to Styles for the bottle.

Sampled at the O-Town throwdown. Poured a murky brown with thin off white head. Tart, sour and a bit musky aroma with hints of a vague sweetness. Nice fruit flavor that turns tart and sour with slight undercurrent of musky funkiness.

The first sniff I smell pickle juice?Nah this can’t be.Wait Gumby and Fantomas who I shared this with smell the same, how strange. It had a nice copper color to it when poured.flavor was not of pickles but it was sour. Some fruit with spices is all I get from this.It had a crisp finish to it.How interesting this was.

What the hell is this? Smells like pickles! Pickles!! But it’s damn tasty. Lots of undaunted sourness assaulting my passive but willing tastebuds. Totally funked out taste, like sucking down a tube of sour green apple goop (without the goopiness). Riveting and a stand-out for being so out there.

Pours a burnt orange with a very thin light white head. Smells of major dill pickles and sour funk. Its got a really unique taste thats tough to describe. Its got alot of spices, some clove, slight tannins, and malts. It definitely tastes like a blend of beers because of the unique flavors being pulled out. I htink I wanted this one to be a little more sour for some reason. Still pretty good.
