thanks to eric for allowing us to share this!... dark root beer color with no head. crazy nose... molasses, tobacco, malt, the usual jp stink, cocoa, slate and red wine. tastes a lot like tobacco juice... along with molasses, dark raisins, tannic dryness, charred barrel and some weird bretty funkiness. it is medium bodied with nice carbonation... prickly and unique though it feels like it is missing something?... 8/5/8/3/17/4.1

Bottle shared by Sparky27 @ Hellbilly’s Holiday Tasting. Wow, was I surprised by the appearance of this one!!! Cabernet pour with absolutely no head. Aroma is of Welch’s Grape Juice, oak, balsamic and smoke. Flavor is vinegar, charred wood, and tart cherry skins. Medium mouthfeel...loved the uniqueness. THANKS ERIC!!!

Bottle shared by Sparky27 at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Deep brown pour with nearly no head. Aroma of wood, fruit, vanilla, and that awesome JP yeast. Fruity flavor featuring sour cherries. Nice roastiness throughout. Very nice. Thanks Eric!

750ml bottle courtesy of Fiver29 and shared with the Phoenix crew at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Pours dark reddish brown with zero head sans for a few large bubbles. Nose is oak, vanilla and vinegar. The taste is vanilla, roasty oak, unripe grapes, black cherry skin and vinegar. Medium prickly body. Good stuff – thanks John

From a 12oz Bottle. Courtesy of CharlesDarwin. Mostly transparent, dark ruddy brown color with a finger of fizzy tan foam. Aromas of cherry skin tannins, vinegar, and cocoa. Pleasant blend of leather, cherry fruits, and chocolate notes without any dimension being overwhelming. The acetone, nail polish notes of acetic acid are clearly present, but don’t interfere obnoxiously with the other aromatic dimensions and even help enhance the "sourness" of the nose in some ways. Light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a dry texture and moderate acidity. Flavors of leather, cocoa, and cherry fruits, along with a funky, oaky tartness. Some sour, woody notes are present, as well as some tannic brett and some pedio-esque bleu cheese notes. The cherry and cocoa flavors tend to dominate most prolifically, through, with the acetone and brett funk playing more of a supportive role. Pretty well balanced, complex, and drinkable. As much as I want to complain about the acetic qualities of the beer, it doesn’t detract much from the overall enjoyment; at the same time, while I dig it, I’m not totally enamored, and I’m not really sure why this is as I can’t point to anything that’s specifically wrong. Very solid, overall. Thanks, Tom!

Courtesy of psprings (I think, if not I’ll correct this ) Pours a dark muddy brown with a slight reddish tings. Aroma is sour and acidic. Flavor is sour, earthy, cherries combined wit a strange unexpected cocoa taste in the finish. And I like it! Nice sour!
