| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Sample from bottle shared by Tmoney99. Weizen Bam pours a slightly hazy light yellow color with a large mostly lasting white head. The aroma has a nice combination of sour citrus, dry wheat grass, a little yeast character, the usual JP funk, and pale malt. The flavor has toasted wheat, light clove and bananas, lightly sour citrus, brett, and pale malt. Medium mouthfeel with a drier finish. PhillyBeer2112 (2089), Orange Park, Florida, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 8, 2008 750ml bottle. Batch 315/316: Clear lemon yellow pour with a growing white head and champagne-like carbonation swirling in the glass. Very light nose that offers a balanced dose of wheat, grass and brett. The body is crisp and refreshing, the prickly carbonation breaking things up nicely. Tart from the start, lighter notes of wheat, hay, banana and vanilla lay beneath. Finishes tart and crisp. I enjoyed this, but feel that the wild bugs make most JP beers too similar. While I liked the Berliner-like tartness, a switch to more hefe yeast and less bugs would be appreciated. jcr (1177), Jasper, Indiana, USA

Take a hefeweizen and combine it with a berliner weisse with more berliner than heffe and you have the weizen bam. Tart and refreshing with some funkiness thrown in, this is an enjoyable beer. Cloudy, pale yellow body with a frothy, lasting white head. The aroma is yeasty with notes of brett and spice. Hints of wood, mustiness. Below all that are malt notes. The flavor is lightly sweet, moderately tart. The finish is tart/sour, but only moderately. Medium body. Lots of carbonation. MrBendo (1043), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 6, 2008 Thanks to JCB and DrHomolka, who each got me a bottle. Hazy straw color with a huge head. Aroma of wheaty lemon and brett. Lightly spicy; yeast, cloves and pepper. I don’t get a lot of banana here, and I think the taste profile works out pretty good that way. Mostly good sour and funky lemon. bu11zeye (5564), Frisco, Texas, USA
