| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 28, 2009 I shared a bottle of this with BeerBaron617 on the night before he left for Basic Training. For such occasion, this beer didn’t disappoint.
This beer pours an almost greenish yellow color. It was very cloudy, and had a big fluffy white head. The aroma is not like any of the Jolly Pumpkin beers we’ve had before. Actually, this is one of the first beers that I have gotten a real banana aroma...Usually Belgians are more typical of this aroma, but It’s all here in this beer.
It almost seems like Jolly did more with this beer to make it less Jolly, and more "Wheat Beer"...I mean, Jolly typically does their beer in their own signature way, and this beer seems more like what you would typically get from a German Hefeweizen...at least with aroma :)
Now taste, that’s a different story. Typical Jolly Pumpkin all the way. Highly carbonated, sour, clove, and it has a creamy mouthfeel. 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
