Not much aroma at all on this one - but there is a malt backbone that’s pretty strong. Aroma is light malt and some grassiness. Flavor has grapefruit and grass, along with malt. Not great, not horrible. toddkrem (81), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Tasted kind of smooth and bland , not enough taste or bitterness for me. BelgianBeerGal (1307), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Local bottle at home celebrating 2 Dec 09! Pours a turbid light brown colour with a small white head and some bubbly lacing. Big aroma of sweet pink grafruit hops and caramel malt plus a little spice in the finish. VERY balanced flavour with a relatively short, sweet, perfumey finish. Just a little bitterness lingers. Maybe a little light on the hop notes but not the bitterness if that makes any sense. Good effort from these guys though as they just get started. Dogbrick (2869), Columbus, Ohio, USA

The beer pours a hazy orange-amber color with a medium and foamy light beige head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Floral hops aroma with a malty and citrusy undertone. Medium body with a moderately hoppy character that is mostly citrusy and has malt and sweet fruit behind it. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Pretty good effort overall. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Smells like a mixture of grapefruit and molasses-very strange but nice. Not much head. This is a good beer. Hoppy but not overly bitter till the very end. Best beer yet from JJ. And the first I’d buy in the store.
