Very strong banana aroma and even the flavor is strongly banana esters, pretty much overpowering all the other flavors. White head with a bit of lacing to it. Smooth and thick mouthfeel to the brew.

Pours a cloudy dark amber color with a off white head. Gigantic banana and bubblegum aromas.Flavors match the aromas with the exception of the roasted malts that peek through. Not bad at all!

Poured cloudy brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Moderate toasted caramel malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth sticky texture and soft carbonation. Moderate malty sweet flavor with with a moderate sweet finish of average duration.

very cloudy brown with great slow moving fine bubbled lace under a large creamy tan/brown head. banana aroma with hints of caramel. flavors of banana and a bit of caramel but not anything to get excited about. no real yeast character, barely any dunkel character, and no spices really kill any chance of this getting a good flavor rating. palate is light, watery, and almost flat. a disappointment for such a great looking beer.

[Bottle] Pours a hazy dark amber color with a lot of beige colored head. Banana, clove and dry cocoa in the aroma. Better wheat malt characteristics in the flavor. Some light nutmeg and Bavarian yeast notes as well. Good palate and mouthfeel. Exceeded my expectations by a lot... I wish I picked more up.

12oz bottle(Trader Joe’s-Naperville)-Pours a murky hazy brown with a nice off white head that covers the beer nicely. Aroma of caramel, banana, cloves, and wheat. Taste of banana, clove, spices, and caramel. This light bodies brew is rather tasty and balanced. Could drink these all night.

Sampled on 11/11/08. This dunkelweizen pours a slightly hazy amber brown color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, bready, cookie and sweet, with a touch of banana and clove. A medium to light bodied dunkel. The malts are bready and sweet. The hops are earthy. Decent carbonation. Nice balance. Touch of banana and clove flavors at the finish. A decent dunkel, definitely drinkable, but deficient in depth and density. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

A nice orange tan head makes a lot of noise and stays around a good while. Medium brown cloudy. Faint yeast, clove, spice, and caramel aroma. Flavor is very earthy. Light cloves and spice. Thin watery finish.
