Commercial Description:
JosephsBrau Hopfest is a German-style Pilsner featuring imported noble hops from Bavaria. Hallertau bittering hops provide a refined bouquet of spice tempered by mild floral Tettnang hops. The resulting brew offers a crisp counterbalance of robust bitter notes and a dry finish.

Looks a bit darker than your typical pilsener. Unfortunately that is not a good thing as it makes it look like some seriously unhealthy urine. Finishes kind of watery and citrus-y. I do like the extra hop flavor, but not enough to make me love this pilsener.

Bottle, from Trader Joes only $1. Pours a clear golden beer with a light thin head. Aroma is grassy. Flavor is clean light earthy light hops and malt. Very clean refreshing beer, can’t beat the price.

bottle. Pours a clear bright golden yellow, fizzy inch of white head that clears to leave a nice layer throughout. Aromas of lightly spicy hops and dry toast. Flavors follow the nose- nicely balanced between sharp but non-aggressive spicy hops, smooth bread, and some dry yeast notes. Palate is clean and crisp. Overall a pretty good Pilsner- especially considering the low price.

12oz bottle. Pours golden yellow with a fizzy white head, specks of lace. Smells like spicy salted ham. Tastes spicy malty and hoppy with a ham aftertaste. Thin body, vibrant carbonation.

Massive carbonation in this harvest gold ber with a half inch of foamy wheat head. Crisp clean pilsner nose with a decent sweet malty body. The malt sweetness was a too high and detracted from an otherwise solid pils. A slight metallic flavor on this as well.

smells like a standard german pilsner to me... pour is pretty standard. great golden color with a nice white head. the beer tastes pretty clean to me. lightly sweet upfront and a really nice finish... more hoppy than any pilsner I’ve drinken and not as many sour or funky notes like i get with the imported pilsners. I could do this again. Only $6.00 / 6 pack at trader joe’s. good deal!

Bottled, thanks Tiki Taylor. Pours a hazy deep yellow color that smells hoppy but it is actually pretty light in taste with its fruityness.
