Bottle from Trader Joe’s, poured a clear medium gold with a some red, nice looking brew, aroma of fresh baked bread, malt, little bit of hops, malty taste, somewhat more like a Dortmunder then the Octoberfest beers I have had, medium dry on the palate, I was expecting more on the palate with the deep gold color but the taste was not up to what met the eye.- Old Rating 6-4-4-3-11=2.8.

10-22-07 - Someone gave this to me, so, thought I would rate this bottle against last year’s to give it a change of rating if warranted,
gosh, this is worst then I remember, some off smell and it has an off taste to, pours a clear gold bronge with some amber here and there,
white and off-white bubbles, looks nice in the glass, toasted and roasted malt, malt sweetness, faint caramel and a alcohol-vegetable-medicine off smell,
it is not prominent but still there,
there is a taste of malt and malt sweetness with a hop bite but also an alcohol off taste?
A faint taste of something that is unpleasant, medium mouth feel, glad I didn’t get a six pak, pass this one by.
