Poured a deeper amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel with some citrus. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and some floral hoppiness. There was some light lacing left on the glass.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Dec 5, 2007 OC tour, tap at brewpub: Amber hue with small head and okay lace. The aroma has notes of caramel and toffee, tangerine esters, and herbal hops. The taste is sweet and grainy with some fruit and herbs noted, boring. The feel is smooth and soft. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 10, 2003 This beer seems to be the brewpubs unofficial flagship beer. I guess Grampa is to blame for this. Amber (almost identical to the IPA) with a thin light beige head. Minimal lacing. Aroma was lightly malty. The flavor was smooth malt but kind of weak and had just a hint of hops in the finish. This could be something but they need to give it more pizzazz (yes that word is in MS Word’s spell-check).
