Aroma of lightly sweet caramel malt with a touch of piny hops. Body starts fairly full and sweet with a decent piny hop balance before a more bitter, yet warming finish. A pretty good APA. Pine and grapefruit with indertones of malt. Light caramel and lemon zest flavors. Hints of light fruit. Many would call this and IPA. Nice call! heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

This poured with a slightly cloudy dark gold colored body. The aroma was grapefruit, fowers and toffee. Classic Pale ale aroma. The taste had toffee, tea and hints of the grapefruit. The mouthfeel was thin and slick, but this just made it more drinkable. A very good beer. Skyview (4087), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with an average off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light citrus and grapefruit zest, some caramel malt, a touch of fruit character and some mild herbal spice. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a good balance of caramel malt and citrus zest hop flavor with a fruity character. Finish has a light bitterness that adds a nice touch to this American Pale Style ale. Ughsmash (4076), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Poured a hazy medium-golden with a light cap of white head. Nose was pleasant... lemongrass, caramel, and grapefruit primarily... with an odd hint of dishsoap. Lemony-caramel base to the flavor.. with grassy and grapefruity hops providing a solid level of bitterness. Smooth malty base with well-placed bitterness in the flavor department. Enjoyed this one. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 25, 2006 Transparent and paling brass in color with a creamy, doily white wrung around the edges. Strawberry cotton and passion fruit starch lead the nose while a cascade concrete lightheartedness plays out with a mango danish. Some honey dipped marigolds impart a weird herbaceous sentiment. Balanced and amplified bitterness capitalize in true cascade fashion. Medium to lightered bodied but the clementine and peachy fruitiness make amiable progress. The dried apricot chews also bode well for the flavor. Mandarin cotton sees itself out with the bitter starch brigade, but the hops cover the filtration tracks this time. Dry floral bitterness takes charge in the end while peachy cotton and clementine pulp make good on the other citric notions.
