Not nearly as heavy as other reds so for those who arent into reds, its a good taste. Again, not the best red youll ever have, and nowhere near it, but you can do a whole lot worse. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jun 4, 2006 A little diacetyl in the nose. Clear dark amber with a thin off-white head and not much lace. Nice flavor but the malt is a little harsh going down. Reminds me a bit of Great Dane’s new Aaron 755 amber, but without the hops. Brigadier (1246), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA

Still, a pretty solid ale that I do not regret having. One of the best available at Whitney’s. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Reserved aroma with some nuts, caramel, peat and horse feed making their way through. Light bodied. Resonating caramelized pecans and sweet maple syrup. Some brief astringency but it fades. Fairly unremarkable, yet easy going and not regrettable. brewblackhole (1384), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
