gws57 (988), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Feb 5, 2008 Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Madison, Wisconsin. Clear, dark red pour with a lacy white head, very light, malty nose, very light malty flavor, very quaffable but really, not much going on with this one.
Strykzone (938), Wood River, Illinois, USA Aug 10, 2008 Amber red beer with a tiny white ring. Faint aroma of roasted malt. Much bigger flavor than aroma. Very assertive roasted malt and unmalted barley, caramel. Mildly harsh and slightly bitter aftertaste. Skyview (2768), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 30, 2008 On draught at the brewpub in Western Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear light copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that quickly dissipates to an off-white ring and little lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, a touch of toffee and some light citrus hops. Taste is medium bodied, with a semi-sweet caramel/toffee malt flavor with some roasted nuts and a touch of spice. Finish has a semi-sweet aftertaste, a little watery texture and a mild bitterness that quickly disappears. esjaygee (721), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 19, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Red with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel and light nuts. Taste of caramel, light nuts, sweet malts that finishes mildly bitter. phishpond417 (1360), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 11, 2008 A fairly decent ale, pours a reddish brown colour with a medium sized white head. very well balanced between hops and malts, but found it to be a little weak, lighter tasting than i would have anticipated. It had a little watery finish. General_Gao (2434), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 21, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear copper color. Thin, creamy off white head that reduced to a ring.
