Sweet toasty dark caramel nose has a good balance of milk chocolate. Roasted nuts, coffee, and chocolate flavors. This is a sweet beer but one that has a nice amount of hop. It has a delightfully smooth feel to it. A very good porter. Pours a dark cola brown brew with a thin tan head that quickly dissipates to a thin tan ring. Aroma of toasted dark malt, some chocolate, roasted nuts and a touch of black pepper. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of toasted dark malt, a touch of chocolate and some coffee and roasted nuts. The head was light tan with good retention and lacing. Smelled of molasses, chocolate, and light adhesive tape. The flavor was equally uninspiring with only chocolate and a papery note.
