| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 9, 2003 Sweet chocolate scent and very alcoholic initially. Didn't catch any of the toffee though, which perhaps would've mellowed out the palate--quite sharp and not tasty. Pjones6738 (500), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2003 Lucky me, I get to be the first to rate this, and while half tanked even. Luckily, I took notes. This is a very dark black beer with a lasting head. No real aroma. It tasted of toffee and coffee. Very smooth and satisfying.
