Sep 28, 2004 Brown with a red hue, light-brown creamy head. A light porter with dark apple flavor. Not bad.

Jan 1, 2004 Dark brown, translucent, nice foam. Sweetish soft cherry-chocolate nose, light roastiness, rather smooth front with somewhat harsh bitter finish.

Mar 9, 2003 Sweet chocolate scent and very alcoholic initially. Didn't catch any of the toffee though, which perhaps would've mellowed out the palate--quite sharp and not tasty.

Mar 8, 2003 Lucky me, I get to be the first to rate this, and while half tanked even. Luckily, I took notes. This is a very dark black beer with a lasting head. No real aroma. It tasted of toffee and coffee. Very smooth and satisfying.
