This strong ale has subtle flavors of toffee, chocolate and coffee along with a rich, dark malt flavor. A hardy ale with profound hop flavors which finishes smoothly.

Black color with a thin head. No real aroma; disappointing. Your typical chocolate and malt tastes. Eh, kind of boring.

Brown with a red hue, light-brown creamy head. A light porter with dark apple flavor. Not bad.

Dark brown, translucent, nice foam. Sweetish soft cherry-chocolate nose, light roastiness, rather smooth front with somewhat harsh bitter finish.

Sweet chocolate scent and very alcoholic initially. Didn't catch any of the toffee though, which perhaps would've mellowed out the palate--quite sharp and not tasty.

Lucky me, I get to be the first to rate this, and while half tanked even. Luckily, I took notes. This is a very dark black beer with a lasting head. No real aroma. It tasted of toffee and coffee. Very smooth and satisfying.
