This is J.T's. lightest ale. It is brewed for those not as accustomed to microbrewed beers. Goldenshine is a golden yellow ale brewed with a light malty body and very little hop bitterness.

Weak malty aroma. Clear light gold, thin white head, no lace. Generic malt with just a bit of noble hops. Unclean biscuity finish on the first couple sips, goes away later. Sour twang. Watery mouthfeel.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear gold color with a thin white head. Not much of a nose other than a hint of apple and a whiff of less than noble hops. Light bodied and delicately sweet with mild bitterness. I tasted some cereal grain mixed with hay and a bit of noble hop. So so at best, but an improvement over the kolsch I sampled just before it.

This brew pours a clear golden colour with a little white head. Pretty malty, decent lacing but aroma is grainy with a hint of hops. Watery mouthfeel which turned me off. Overall a bland tasting beer.

Clear gold with a small ring of a head. Very "macro-ish" for a micro. Flavor was faint but had some malt and adjuncts. Mild hop effects and bitterness. No life in the mouth.

On draught at the brewpub in Western Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and white ring. Aroma of light golden grain malt, a touch of corn character, grassy hops and a touch of pear. Taste is light bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, grassy hops and some light biscuit. Finish is semi-dry, crisp and then no aftertaste. A light summer lawnmower beer at best.

JT Whitneys has nice micro brew pub with nice view of the brewing area and reastaurant and bar. The brew is affordable and have a nice variety of brew types but the brew is mediocre or less for a micro brewering reatuarant, with the exception of very good barley wine smoked porter, old ale, and gran cru. The food is a bit pricey but good. If this place good up the quality of the brew it could be a red hot destination-- if places like Flossmoor Station can have very good beer than JT Whitney should be able to too.

clear gold, fine white head, streaks of lace, light malt aroma, sweet corn flavor, light bitterness still allows the corn to be in control,

sample at brewery (being rated in real time using thier wi fi hotspot) . NOt a whole lot of flavoe but after seeing the previous ratings, it was better than I expected. Better than any major brewery light beer and a good place to start the sampler. Nothing special.
