GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 21, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a hazy red-orange color. The head was thin and white. Smelled of light flower blossom and citrus. The flavor was also citrusy, lemon mostly, with light acidity and not much more. Pretty basic. Very blah. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 06/22/2007

StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Sep 25, 2006 Lovely, hazed and dirty caramel brown in color with an ice sheaf of grey on top and a hairline, doily wrung for the head. Aroma has a bright, tart lemon characteristic with noticeable bananas, rubber soled sneakers, clover, chamomile and oregano. Could go either way. Sweet, sugar coated clover comes in first for flavor. Honey malt brings a nectary/comb characteristic with a refreshing lemon-lime shine. Very cold, but the starchy vanilla dryer sheets have an enjoyable flavor to them. Mild citric orange bite from a flavor hop impartation conjures up thoughts or Orange Crush soda, especially when paired with its effervescence. I’m quite sure it’d be much less enjoyable any warmer, but damn if it’s not an easy quaff and a breath of fresh air to the honeyweiss category now. Clean broadcloth linen and mildly peppered vanilla tootsie rolls and orange blossoms line the finish. A decent rendition. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Apr 18, 2005 Nice Yellow/Orange Haze Coloring with White Ring. Lemon, Malt and Yeasty Aroma. Citrus, Yeast, Malt and Coriander Notes...Zest of Fruit and Yeast. Agreeably Tends to Nod Towards a Wit Than a Honey Weiss. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 18, 2005 Dark yellow color, but a little on the murky side; no head. Dry lemon aroma. Spicy wheat taste. There seems to be a hint of banana. This tasted a lot more like a Belgian Wit than a typical Honey Weiss.
