Sep 9, 2005 [bottle from peckhams] Pours light yellow with a large foamy head. Aroma is yeastywith some coriander, some pine and some herbal notes. the body is light and the finish is a little dry. Similar to duvel but lacks the spicey palate and vibrant body.

Sep 9, 2005 Aroma starts sour then changes to a sort of boiled cabbage/vegtable smell. Taste is better with the sourness not overpowering but still there with a little vegtable taste. Disapointing.

Aug 29, 2005 Mid gold colour with an excellent, lasting head. Yeast and hops in the aroma and a sweet-spicy citrus taste with a bit of dryness. Plenty of alcohol: another great Belgian beer.

Aug 21, 2005 Poured a clear golden with a big head. Malty and almost too sweet. Great big burst on the palate.

Jun 28, 2005 Bottle. Excellent head and decent lacing throughout. Smells of citrus and hops. Taste is spicy very hoppy with an almost lemon bitter aftertaste. Smooth alcohol burn.

Jun 23, 2005 Pale golden, slightly cloudy beer. The head was dense and long lasting and there was great lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma was a bit bready with a lot of citrus fruits/hops. Some sweet malt on the nose also. A bit of spice, some hops and sweet malts. The alcohol was quite well covered. For a Belgian ale, it was very easy drinking. Fairly light body and medium bitterness. Lasting carbonation.

Jun 5, 2005 Well bugger me, looks for all the world like I just poured a Carlton Draught (gold larger in colour). The big diff of course being the beer holds some very good lacing. Slightly strange nose with some quite pointed sweet candy notes lifting up, reminds me of ’Wizz Fizz’ candy powder. Has some attraction though. More standard issue in the mouth with yeasty, spice notes and good malt body. Finishes a little hard, a tiny bit short and disjointed with some alcohol burn. Not a bad beer but lacks any semblance of value (I have to sell ’em at $7+).
