Bottle: Poured a hazy light brown that looked more like ice tea than a beer. Off white head that quickly diminished. Interesting sweet aroma of banana, fruit, and prunes. The flavor was sweet as well with fruits and raisins noted and a hint of spice. Smooth, light to medium body.

Pours brown and cloudy with a thin off white head. Smells of clover, figs and pepper. Tastes sweet with some banana and pear present. A little watery, but nice.

Pours a brown body with a reasonable head. Aroma dominated by banana with a hint of caramel. Flavor is the same. Smooth and a solid example for the style.

Pours light brown with orangish hues and a massive creamy off-white head. Dusty phenolic peppery aroma of banana and spice. Lightly sweet and moderately acidic with a high level of sophistication and balance. Medium bodied with a high level of carbonation. Great!

Pours a bit lighter color than most dunkeweisses. This one was just a medium to deep amber and a modest head. Aroma had a bit of banana and a good amount of clove, with some bready malts such as munich and vienna. Could have used a bit more munich actually as it wasnt that complex in the flavor and was a bit watered down. somewhat of a dry finish- I liked the hefe better.

This wasnt a very bad dark hefe but it could have been better. It wasnt too smooth but the flavors were good. Id like to give it another try.

16oz bottle: poured orange/brown, not like other dunkels I have had. Big thick offwhite head. Light banana aroma with a bit of lemon. Flavor comes up short. Very light yeast with banana esters. I’ve had a lot better.
