Hazy yellow pour with no bubbles but a large white foamy head. Aroma of yeast and bananas. Sweet wheat taste, somewhat bready. Slightly bitter metallic finish. Not very interesting at all, mild and mellow. Nice body, full enough to get the flavor, and the carbonation is just enough to make it refreshing.

16 oz bottle with JRedmond. Pours a sexy murky haze. Smooth, wheat and citrus. Great taste.

Brown pint bottle from Vintage Estates, thanks Nutz. Now this is a pretty good example of friendly Hefe. Typical quality hefe appearance; a sort of cloudy beige. Mild heffy wheat aroma that is not overwhelming with spices. Funny artificial spice banana aroma hints. Goodly layer of unfiltered gunk on the bottom of the bottle provides for that beautiful swirling and hypnotizing unfiltered wheat pour. Very good carbonation initially on the palate. Nearly tart flavors that morph into a nice wheat experience. Very little bitterness. Borders on being a mild sour ale or lambic at times during the session. Somewhat like a good saison. I want to go down on the farm. Finish is a little dull yet intriguing. No bitter aftertaste per se.

This beer is quite murky and has an orange tinged, light amber color when held up to the light. It is topped by a frothy, initially three-finger thick, pale tan colored head that leaves lacing on the sides of my tulip glass. This has a bright, fruity aroma of bananas, some pear notes and apples as well as a touch of clove phenolics. Actually the aroma really has quite a lot of the fruity esters of the apple / pear variety; this is almost the dominant aromatic note. Touches of grassy grain, crushed pale malt and tart, aromatic wheat notes are noticeable if you dig around for them. Perhaps a hint of herbal hops is all that is noticeable of the hop contribution.

The flavor is fairly light, but does have a certain heft to it that adds some chewiness / viscosity to the brew. Lightly sweet tasting, which accents / is accentuated by an apple and pear like fruitiness. The finish has a nice, spicy clove character to it and as the beer warms up a bit, typical banana flavors become evident. This has a nice tartness to it that makes it quite an appetizing brew; it seems to offset the grain sweetness and play up some of the fruit notes too. A yeast dump yields a softer, perhaps more chewy mouthfeel as well as contributing some bread-like yeast notes. It also seems to soften the fruit impact a bit too.

Much fruitier than your typical Hefe Weizen, but still it is quite tasty and I like the apple / pear notes that are in this beer. This would pair quite well with the traditional Bavarian breakfast of Weisswurst. What I like about this beer is the balance that it strikes between banana, apple/pear, light grain notes, tartness and spicy clove in the finish. This is quite an appetizing beer, even if I am a sucker for Hefe Weizens.

1600, bottle shared with the mother in law. Mild sweet malt aroma. Hazy yellow body with decent white head. Medium bodied brew with some citrus and a mild bitterness. More of a malt backbone. Refreshing brew.

16 oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange body with some white head. Aroma is not that great...some banana maybe some orange - but something else that didnt smell right. The taste makes up for it though, smooth, wheat and citrus. Great taste.

Wow, this beer is 100% foam out of the bottle. I have never seen so much foam before. Amazingly when it settles down, the beer still has some carbonation. The aroma is a nice citrus peel. The flavor is awesome, the perfect balance of consistency, unfiltered citrus and wheat flavor. It has high carbonation, and a light flavor. The color is bright cloudy yellow. Prost! What a great brew.

Draught at the Village Cafe & Pub, Niles, .5L hefe glass. Except for the a lemon slice being rubbed around the rim then dropped in the beer, a nice presentation. Cloudy, slightly dulled yellow under a pillowy head that slips away quickly. Lemon adds to what seems to a standing citrus smell and taste. Some slightly spicy wheat malt and a subdued package of hefeweizen esters. Lemony impressions stay throughout the beer. Not a showoff, just a nice impression of the style.
