16oz bottle-pours a big off white head and cloudy orange color. Aroma is mild wheat, fruit-peach. Taste is caramel, mild, wheat, fruit-peach, some spice, yeast. Good, soft, middle of the class beer. OK effervescence.

Pours cloudy straw gold with minimal head bit decent lacing on the way down. Nose is wheaty, yeasty, and with a very distinct tar like character. Underneath there is a citric tone to it as well, but it is overpowered by the other fragrances. Flavor is smooth and even with a yeasty wheat flavor that is heavy on lemony citrus. Feel is very nice. Silky smooth with a lower level of appropriate carbonation. Highly drinkable. Damn good. Worth trying.

16 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a large frothy white head that stays. The aroma is banana and citrus. Very good lacing on this one. The taste is a light citrus with a spicy vanilla finish. An interesting buy well done hefe-weiss from julius echter.

I had a bottle of this at Kuma’s Corner at in Chicago, and it wasn’t a beer I was familiar with, yet I really enjoyed it despite not being a huge fan of the style. This beer was a bit reminiscent to me of the Hacker-Pschorr Hefe, but with half the cloviness, but with the balance made up for with some fruitiness that the Hacker-Pschorr lacks. This beer also doesn’t seem as heavy as the Hacker-Pschorr, which I liked. It’s a hazy gold, with a touch of red and lots of head. Aroma is a bit of spice, but not overpowering. Flavor is as I’ve described above. I thought this beer to be quite solid.

Best before August 11th, 2007... Appears a hazy, light gold with a thick white head of foam that slowly fades out. Tons of scattered lacing is left with each passing sip. Smell is yeasty, tart wheat, bananas, mild cloves, light citrus, and vanilla cream. Taste mimics the aroma with a light tartness and pungency that reminds me of a vinegar base for sauerbraten, which I’m sure this would go nicely with. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, estery, with pineapple citrus lingering.

500 ml bottle in weizen glass. Cloudy pale orange with extremely dense white head and lace. Banana honey aroma with light spice (coriander?). Nice flavors of fruity orange, honey, spice. Very slight bitter finish. Medium-light body, medium carbonation. Very refreshing. Tasty. Not sure why I missed this one before.

500 ml. euro bottle, best before date in the lower right hand corner of front label, sampled in a weizen glass. Given your basic hefeweizen pour. Cloudy orangey straw golden appearance, large rocky, fluffy white head, good retention, fair amount of ringed sticking. Off to a good start. An appealing aroma of clove and fruit, a subtle banana, earthy, spicy yeast, and dusty wheat malts. Creamy smooth medium body, the yeast really comes through in the taste, earthy spices, nutty and a lemony banana. Dry biscuity, grain cracker malts, the mildest of hop bitterness. Crisp and dry in the finish, nutty and spicy along with a dry twang from the wheat malts. Easy quaffability on this hefeweizen, I would like to try this fresh from the tap sometime.
