Draught at BBF07. Weak banana aroma. Also some banana in the flavour, otherwise nothing much. Quite standard Weizen, flawless but boring.

Pours a cloudy gold into the glass with a MASSIVE white head. The aroma is quite impressive. Lots of spiciness and yeast. The flavor of this beer is very clean with a little apple-juice like after taste. A very nice hefe indeed!

Draught at d.b.a., NYC
Cloudy blond color; creamy head. The aroma has some malt. Soft taste, some malt and sweetness, sweet nuts, light fruitness (banana and more). Light but elegant.

16oz bottle. Consumed about 1.5 months beyond the best before date. So it’s not the freshest bottle. Pour is a slightly cloudy dark yellow. Head is huge at the initial pour but reduces to a thin layer of white cream. Some lacing makes it very attractive. Aroma is strong banana and clove, I’m also detecting some citrus. Very enticing. The citrus appears a bit more in the flavor especially in the finish. The banana and cloves are more up-front. Thanks to the low alcohol, I don’t feel so bad about drinking this big glass at 10:30 in the morning. Good stuff, I just wish it wasn’t so damn expensive in the US.

On tap in Würzburg. Good pour, head, lacing. Medium body. Not bad, but nothing that sets it apart.
