Aroma is banana, hay, grass and something sharp and industrial smelling like anti-bacterial soap. As bad as it sounds it doesn’t really smell bad. The body is a cloudy yellow and holds a three finger thick, fluffy, craggy head that diminishes slowly. Bannana, bread, yeast, mild low sweetness, cream, fluffy feel. Pretty decent brew if not all that expansive flavor wise.

On tap at the Map Room. Really hazy, thick, simplistic weizen with overbearing bubblegum flavours and some banana. A bit boring, and not entirely pleasant to choke down.

Pale gold color out of the bottle with a huge white cream head. Very bubbly in the glass. Traditional yeasty spice nose. Pronounced yeastiness in this bottle, with banana, clove and some apricot. Relatively subtle for a German Hefeweizen.

Bottle. Pours hazy mellow gold. Aroma is full of banana, ripe fruit, clove, and a bit of must. Flavor is bananas, spicy touches, a somewhat tart lemon zest, and a sweet and wheaty finish.

I had this again, but bottled. The beer was the typical clove and banana in the nose with a similar flavor. Exactly what I expected. None of the tartness I got while at The Maproom. Overall, a nice creamy mouth feel, but just another hefe. Original rating follows. On tap at The Maproom in Chicago. The body was dark gold and cloudy with a slightly off white head. The aroma was lemons and peaches with some cloves. The taste was tart peaches with some clove and sweet potatoes. A stange and interesting take on the hefeweizen style.

Cloudy golden colour with a dense white head. Sweet fruity aroma. Malty, light sweet flavor with banana fruity notes. Dry, sweet finish.

Really nice weiss. Not quite in the upper eschelon of weisses... I mean, really good, but not like top of the line, but just below that, which is really, really good. Try this weiss.

Bottled. A hazy orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of bananas and oranges. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of malted wheat, leading to a dry wheaty end.
