Good taste and an absolutely GORGEOUS head..... it rivals shiner bocks hefe-weizen, not a bad brew at all! Braudog (3777), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Creamier in consistency than I’d expected, like a slip-and-slide on the tongue. More fruity than yeasty, this is lies firmly on the sweet side of the hefeweizen spectrum. Quite delicious. Aroma and taste are of nice yeast, sweet malt, orange, subtle hops and a light sour note in the ending. Smooth and refreshing. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A fine example of German Hefeweizen. MadIndian (997), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 9, 2006 Pours a cloudy gold into a weizen glass. Significant fluffy bright white micro head leaves mounds of lacing as it slowly recedes. Bright lemon and banana yeast aromas. Banana up front with a lasting dry, dried banana finish. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2006 Huge frothy head, nice spicy, yeasty aroma with hints of citrus fruits and some very slight banana. Flavors of wheat, yeast, malt, spices (mostly clove), citrus, some breadiness, banana, bubblegum, This is a pretty great example of the style. It isn’t exactly the ultimate, all-time greatest hefe-weizen, but it is solid indeed. Definitely one to seek out. hopscotch (5537), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Cloudy light yellow ale with a huge, rocky, white head. Terrific retention. Smoky, fruity aroma... notes of banana and tangerine with a kiss of clove. Malty-sweet, fruity flavor. Medium-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. Sweet, fruity, gently spicy finish. Decent for the style, but I don’t tend to dig hefes.
