| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 14, 2009 Bottle. Light grain note, with moderate aromas of flowers and lemon for the hops, barnyard and musty for the yeast, and hints of bubble gum (more so than banana) and clove. Head is huge, rocky/creamy, white, with good lacing and is fully lasting. Color is a hazy amber. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palalte is medium, watery and has a soft carbonation. I have to say this is one of my favorite German Hefeweizens. Great aromas, flavors, and all in perfect balance. goatmask666 (9), Colorado, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Mar 13, 2009 this is a great example of bavarian hefe beer, great aroma of banana and clove. Taste has the effect of a white wine, and with the fruit of a Bavarian hefe. Aftertaste is that of a wine, very interesting!
