The appearance was a customary for the brew but the flavor was exceptional. Crisp, clean and very palatable. Perfect on an early fall evening with friends around the campfire. jhliesen (405), West Melbourne, Florida, USA

Coloring was a cloudy, pale yellow with a clove, banana and fruity aroma. Drinking the beer came with a nice level of carbonation along with a taste banana and a solid base of wheat. Great stuff for a beer you never heard about. Pettys 2.49. mvcramer (229), Arlington, Massachusetts, USA

Aroma is what you expect of a high-quality hefe... mild clove ester aromas and some sweet fruitiness. Clean citrus taste and very pleasing on the palate. Great beer. Exceptional summer beer. Taste does not let down. Wheaty, yeasty fruit with a lingering aftertaste. Hell of a hefe! Very surprised at all the relatively low ratings. Do not be fooled! This is one of the best wheat beers available. Pershing (147), Garland, Texas, USA

Another excellent Hefeweizen from the County who invented the this style. rugbydude05 (298), Kew Gardens, New York, USA

Pours a hazy straw color, aroma is a great mix of sweet and spicy with the spices a little more prominent. Taste is rather bitter and also spicy and palate is rough from the high carbonation but overall not a bad beer. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2008 Pours a nice cloudy orange color with a large lasting white foamy head. Smell is nice and smooth with banana and wheat with a touch of lemon. Taste is very similar with wheat, and banana notes. Slightly citric. Medium/thin body, med./high carbonation with a foamy mouthfeel.
Not bad, but a bit overcarbonated. I was surprised at how clear it was for a heffe, especially with the amount of sediment at the bottom. The nose was orangy, rye bread, with actually a hint of strawberry. The mouthfeal was ultra carbonated for a heffe, possibly due to it being brewed with barley malts and not 100% wheat. Taste was similar to old sourdough bread with a hint of lemon and orange. Overall, it’s palatable... but my least favorite heffe.
