Jul 12, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. An amber beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nuts and caramel as well as lighter notes of grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of nuts, caramel, hops, grapefruit, leading to a nicely bitter finish. Well balanced.

Mar 29, 2009 Draft at Berkeley location. They told us that Jupiter and Drakes are "one in the same" but this IPA did not taste the same as Drakes IPA. This was only "ok" Had a mild hop aroma and bitterness but nothing really unique.

Feb 21, 2009 Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a dark golden color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy and slightly piney aroma. Dry malty hoppy piny flavor. Has a long malty hoppy bitter finish.

Sep 7, 2008 Smelled like dishwater. Small, creamy, off-white head left virtually no lacing. Hazy amber in appearance. Harsh bitterness upfront does not dissipate. Slightly salty on the finish. Oily texture w/ soft carbonation. Only hop note was piney taste reminiscent of PineSol. Antiseptic finish. Thought it was the glass, but wife’s tasted the same.
