Medium-light bodied, semisweet malt with cherry and cider as well as some chocolate, matched by substantial dry hop tones. Long finish.

May 8, 2008 On tap @ Drake’s. This was a truly unique ale. The nose was sweet and fruity, as was the flavor. The flavor that stood out the most escaped me at first, but then I realized what it was; Red Delicious aplle skins. Once identified it, it was quite enjoyable. Very drinkable and smooth.

May 3, 2008 Pours a fairly dark red with some foam. Not bad flavor but a bit overly malty for my tastes. A lot of friends enjoy this brew but not really my taste

Jun 8, 2006 Updated: Aug 26, 2006Tap - Golden Bear Brewpub, Berkeley, CA, USA. Had to try this after the Jupite IPA tapped out. Thin head. Sweet aroma. Dark red/brown color. Nose is hoppy, with a significat portion of yeast and malt. Taste is *almost* that of there IPA, but with a significantly detectable amount of yeast and malt in the aftertaste. I used to drink the IPA, but this is now my standby when that taps out.

Nov 23, 2005 Tasted at Drake Brewery. Medium amber brown color. Small head. Aroma is malty, caramel and sweet. A medium bodied amber. Malts are caramel and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter and grapefruity. Rather malty and biscuty for an amber. Lively carbonation. Nice balance. Lots of flavor. Better than you’re average BrewPub Amber. Lots of flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a nice lingering malt sweetness.
