Commercial Description:
JW Dundee’s American Amber Lager has a complex malt character that is masterfully balanced by a distinct American Hop aroma and flavor. We use 5 different malts to create the complex malt flavor in this beer. We start with our 2 Row Pale Malt as our base and then add 4 different types of Crystal Malts. It is the combination of the four Crystal malts that define the complexity of the beer. Although the malt is showcased in this beer, the hops play an important part in the balance of flavors. We use Simcoe, Cascade, and Magnum hops to create the hop profile that balances the complex malt character. This balance creates a beer that has great depth of flavor while still being very drinkable. JW Dundee’s Amber Lager is flavorful enough to satisfy craft beer drinkers yet is still accessible to those looking to find a beer with a little more character than their normal beer.

honey dough tastes, alittle strange but its not bad for the price, pretty fizzy head, low-medium...needs more bitters or something, its ok but never again!

Craft Pack. Light Amber color. Notes malts and hops. A good balanced beer. The head vanished quick. Overall a good beer that is not to expensive.

Bottle Cold quite cold. Very drinkable lager, better than I expected and quite cheap, good smooth taste and finish with a nice backing of hops, easily drinkable and quite refreshing after work.

I really liked this. It was smooth and more malty than most lagers. The hops had a much more quality character than is typical of an American Lager. A nice bite in the finish to keep it crisp, but still really drinkable.

Orangish golden pour not the color I expected. Had a slightly off white head. A nice sweet caramelly malt aroma. A nice malt flavor that changes to a decent little bitter ending. A slightly foamy mouthfeel. Not a bad beer. I wish all brewers would offer mix packs.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a crystal clear amber beverage with a medium sized off-white frothy head that was mostly diminishing and left little lacing on the glass. The aroma was quite subtle. There was just a hint of sweet caramel and roasted malts accompanied by a subtle light sweet fruitiness. The body was light to medium with medium carbonation and a light, watery texture. The flavor started off slightly on the sweet side. At the finish it it had turned a bit bitter. The finish was medium in duration.

From a 12 oz. twist cap long neck brown bottle with no freshness date. Made a decent appearance, poured a clear light amber with a foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing, minimal amount of sticking, good carbonation. Sweet malty nose, a light toastiness and caramel with a faint butter cakey at the edges. A semi-crisp and smooth light bodied mouth feel, inoffensive and a little bland, average drinkability. Sweet malty tasting, caramelized and lightly toasted grainy, a faint, buried hoppiness and a sweet malty finish. A lackluster amber lager, not something I would seek out.
