Commercial Description:
JW Dundee’s American Amber Lager has a complex malt character that is masterfully balanced by a distinct American Hop aroma and flavor. We use 5 different malts to create the complex malt flavor in this beer. We start with our 2 Row Pale Malt as our base and then add 4 different types of Crystal Malts. It is the combination of the four Crystal malts that define the complexity of the beer. Although the malt is showcased in this beer, the hops play an important part in the balance of flavors. We use Simcoe, Cascade, and Magnum hops to create the hop profile that balances the complex malt character. This balance creates a beer that has great depth of flavor while still being very drinkable. JW Dundee’s Amber Lager is flavorful enough to satisfy craft beer drinkers yet is still accessible to those looking to find a beer with a little more character than their normal beer.

(bottle) bought it on sale. Won’t make that mistake again. Nice amber color with light tan head. Malty aroma. Flavor up front is reasonable malty, but it has a medicinal aftertaste.

An OK amber lager. Not too much in the flavor department, but still a smooth, great taste. For the price, you won’t hear anymore complaints from me.

Presents a translucent amber with minimal head. Aroma is better than the flavor, with a distinct malty breadiness and a touch of honey. Flavor is similar but overly acidic; this factor and the slightly-runny-though-carbonated palate clash with the tummy-filling "bready" elements. Could use a touch more hops to perhaps bring the elements into better proportion. Still an ok beer though, maybe would go good with a creamy pasta dish.

Mix pack with honey brown and Pale Ale. Pours a crimson amber color. This has a nice nose to it with malts and mollasus predominately in the smell. This is a good decent American dark Lager in my opinion. Not as much flavor as I like in the dark lagers but a decent one.

Pours a rich amber with a frothy head. Aroma is a blend of flowers and malt. Palate is watery, but bathes the tongue with ernest effort. Taste is a mixture of corn syrup, roasted malt, and molasses. Remarkably bland, but I’ve had worse.

Thanks Damion Pours a clear amber color, small white head. Aroma is a bit of cereal, caramel malt. Flavor is just slightly hoppy, some grass and corn. Quite unimpressive.
