Toffee and carmel, decent balance...good lace. Puts the other macro American lagers further in the toilet. I salute them for a decent effort... beerhandy (195), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

By "Sucks it", I mean that it has a stale cardboard taste that drives me nuts. It has no hops at all. At all!!! Damn it. The malt side leaves a lot to be desired unless you have been pounding pbmcs for the last week. You can do a lot better, but you would be hard-pressed to find a can that can beat this. Dark copper color, thin, off-white head, light lacing. Aroma has some sweet caramel accents. Flavor has caramel notes with some good solid bitter accents with some toffee accents. Mouthfeel is decent enough, fairly thick for a lager. Very pleasant to say the least and I was pleasantly suprised. Sassy (217), Mullet Capital of the World, Georgia, USA

Not offensive; I’m sure it would work well for a frat boy’s chugging contest... jus10cider82 (67), Wichita, Kansas, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 13, 2005 This beer comes across as odd, very different tasting from any other beer I’ve tried. There’s a nice bit of bitter hops flavour. However, it leaves me with an unpleasant (sort of sour) aftertaste which I do not care for. I also find the aroma to be unpleasant. I can’t say this beer is boring or bland, but I don’t think it’s very good. jimhilt (1689), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 6, 2005 Pours a three-fingered white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Clear deep amber color. Sweet malty nose, Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Starts and finshes with a good malt/hop balance unusual for an amber but as the brewer claims it to be. $1.25 for a 12oz bottle from Northend Superette Manchester, NH.
