Commercial Description:
JW Dundee’s American Amber Lager has a complex malt character that is masterfully balanced by a distinct American Hop aroma and flavor. We use 5 different malts to create the complex malt flavor in this beer. We start with our 2 Row Pale Malt as our base and then add 4 different types of Crystal Malts. It is the combination of the four Crystal malts that define the complexity of the beer. Although the malt is showcased in this beer, the hops play an important part in the balance of flavors. We use Simcoe, Cascade, and Magnum hops to create the hop profile that balances the complex malt character. This balance creates a beer that has great depth of flavor while still being very drinkable. JW Dundee’s Amber Lager is flavorful enough to satisfy craft beer drinkers yet is still accessible to those looking to find a beer with a little more character than their normal beer.

Lightly roasted malt aroma. Dark amber clear pour, with a thin yellow head, good lace. Metallic sour malt. Grain on the palate. Too sour for the style, but I don’t mind it. Not very balanced, but not a bad every day beer, especially in the spring.

...not that great, but better than bud or something like that. Decent mouthfeel, hints of hops and malt give it some flavor. Slightly light, yet a bit creamy, not too bad.

Bottle in Atlanta. For a macro brewed beer this one is ok. Smooth and pretty easy to drink when it is very cold. Sweet and malty with a little hops on the finish...but not much.

For some reason I didn’t have high expectations for this but found it to be alright. Amber colored, thick off white head and lots of lacing. The overall appearance of this beer does get you off to a great start. A little maltier than I typically like, but I’m not going to really complain because there was more flavor that I thought there would be. A wood-like finish and aftertaste

Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Aroma is sweet, with notes of caramel malt and honey. Light body. Flavor is also sweet malt, still with the caramel and honey. Pretty good, drinkable.
